Governor Zulum Has Released Six Hundred Million Naira To Pay Tuition Funding For Students
The Borno state government said it has released 611.9 million nairas to pay scholarships for poor students in higher education.
The General Secretary of the Borno State Education Funding Agency, Bala Isa, disclosed this yesterday Monday at a press conference in Maiduguri.
"We have good news for the students of Borno, His Excellency Governor Babagana Zulum has approved the release of N611.9m for the payment of student allowances for 2021/22.
"This is in line with his determination to plan for the reform and development of Borno for 25 years, where education is a priority.
"The honorable governor is aware of the difficulties faced by students, combined with the increased funds received in many institutions and the hope that the grant will help them pay the registration fees," said Isa.
