I Never Backed Atiku In Her Contest, Says Hamza Al-Mustapha
The presidential candidate of the Action Alliance party, AA, retired Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, said he never withdrew or supported Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the PDP party in Saturday's election.
Al-Mustapha said this during an interview on Human Rights FM in Abuja and the News Agency of Nigeria reported the interview on Tuesday.
He said that the rumors that he has withdrawn from Atiku and is not supporting him are not true.
He described the statement given to the chairman of the AA party, Kenneth Udeze, through whom he emerged as a candidate, "as a lie."
"The announcement made by someone (Udeze) that Action Alliance supports Atiku is a lie.
"Action Alliance does not endorse any party. I am still running and if I lose, I will lose badly and if I win, I will win badly," he said.
