There was no attack on Mai Mala Bunu, the Yobe government said
The governor of Yobe state in northern Nigeria, Mai Mala Buni, survived an attack on him during the election campaign in Gashua zone of Bade local government.
However, the Yobe state government denied the claim saying that the governor had to leave the place for the noise to end.
But the Channels TV House, thousands of APC supporters who went to the election campaign started shouting at the governor saying "we don't do it, we don't want Mai Mala Buni".
The conflict started when the governor was going to hand over the flag to the APC candidates before the 2023 election, only then did stones and other things started to be thrown.
The Governor had to be taken out of the meeting with the help of the security forces.
By doing this he forced the governor and his supporters to leave the area and return to Damaturu without planning.
Mamman Mohammed, who is the director of media, said that nothing like this has happened.
