14 persons have been detained by the police in Kano on accusations of robbery and extortion.

14 persons have been detained by the police in Kano state on suspicion of engaging in armed robberies, drug dealing, and other prostitution-related offenses during the first week of the holy month of Ramadan.

According to the command, the individuals were successfully apprehended during an operation it had organized to bring about peace.

The state police force's spokeswoman, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, stated in a statement that Mamman Dauda, the commissioner of the state police, has declared war on all forms of prejudice in the state.

Criminals were advised not to do so by CP Mamman Dauda since doing so could result in harsh punishment if they were detected.
