The jail official was charged with selling work.
Mr. Eyimoga Moses, a prison guard, has been charged by the ICPC with selling his services before the Federal High Court in Makurdi, the seat of Benue state.
Moses, who works in a prison in the state of Nasarawa, is charged by the ICPC of collecting $800,000 from a couple and falsely promising them employment at the Federal Government University in Lafia in exchange for their services.
Moses was granted bail despite his denial of the offense for which he was charged. He remains imprisoned at the Makurdi detention facility until he complies with the bail's conditions.
The court session was postponed until June 20, 2023, so that the matter may still be heard.
