BREAKING: Former Chief Of General Staff, Oladipo Diya Dies At 78
Lt. General Oladipo Diya is dead. He was the Chief of General Staff when General Sani Abacha was Head of State.
In a statement released Sunday morning, his son, Prince Oyesinmilola Diya, said that he had died.
It said, "On behalf of the whole Diya family, both at home and abroad, we announce the passing on to glory of our dear husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Lt-General Donaldson Oladipo Oyeyinka Diya (Rtd) GCON, LLB, BL, PSC, FSS, mni." Our dear Daddy went to heaven in the early hours of March 26, 2023. Please keep us in your prayers during this time of grief over his death. When the time is right, more news will be made public."
