Gunmen Killed a King in Kano
Unknown gunmen killed the Village Mayor of Rimingado local government, Alhaji Dahiru Abbas, today Sunday.
The late Abbas is the father of Barista Munir Dahiru, the Mayor of Rimingado local government.
A source from the deceased's family told reporters in Kano that assailants who are still unknown attacked the deceased's house in Maigari village in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The source stated that when the gunmen came, they injured the deceased in various ways before one of them shot him dead.
The source told reporters that his funeral will be held at 10 o'clock this Sunday morning at the deceased's home.
Our correspondent called the spokesperson of the state police force, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, but his phone was switched off.
He sent him a text message but till the time of writing this report, there was no response.
