We have lifted over 100 million people out of poverty
The Federal Government has said that it has spent 35.5 billion naira on programs to help the community in Taraba State since it came to power.
The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Relief of Nigeria, Hajiya Sadiya Farouq, said this in Jalingo, the capital of the state, during a discussion with those who benefited from the programs.
The minister represented by the head of the program in the state, Beatrice Kitchina, said that more than 100 million people have come out of extreme poverty because of this program, including young people and women.
She explained the list of other programs such as N-Power, CCT, and GEEP and also the school feeding program.
The secretary of the program for feeding the school children, Idris Goje, said that poverty has been solved in the country with this program and it has also been useful in Taraba state.
