In an annulment petition, Stacey Dash's estranged husband asserts that he was coerced into marrying her.

Jeffrey Marty, Stacey Dash's estranged husband, is making weird claims in an effort to have their marriage annulled.

Marty has requested the Court to order a prompt annulment in a fresh legal file. Marty also makes a number of assertions about how the two were married in the court paperwork that TMZ was able to get.

According to Marty's lawsuit, the couple only got hitched 10 days after Dash's pastor "surprise and abruptly stated that it was God's desire" for them to wed. The previous couple later wed on April 6, 2018. The couple had just been dating for 10 days when Page Six published their story; Marty claims her priest told her they should get married on that day.

According to TMZ, Marty does not go into further detail, but he believes that "hypnotic praying techniques" had an impact on his ability to consent to the marriage.

Claudia Greene, Dash's spokeswoman, responded by saying, "People are allowed to say whatever they want in our society, even if it is unfounded. The greatness of America comes from this. Having said that, Stacey also submitted a statement in which she claimed that, at the time of her marriage, she was not aware of the mental status of her divorced husband. "Sometimes the only way to win is not to play," goes the classic War Games quote. Stacey is hoping that her lawsuit will be resolved quickly."

Nine months after being detained following an alleged domestic violence incident involving Marty, the 53-year-old Clueless actress filed for divorce from him for the first time in June.

Dash claimed she and Marty "had a marital dispute in their Tampa, FL suburb" in a statement previously obtained by PEOPLE at the time of the alleged event, and that police did indeed visit their home on September 29.

The statement stated that although her husband had not filed any charges, Ms. Dash had been calmly apprehended by deputies as a formality. "Today, September 30, Ms. Dash's husband appeared in court on her behalf, and she was then let go from the Land O' Lakes detention center. There are no open legal cases at this time."

The Getting Played actress was released from the Land O' Lakes jail after Dash's ex-husband paid $500 for her release, according to Pasco County court records.

One day after the two were allegedly involved in an incident, on October 1, 2019, Dash filed for divorce in Pasco County, Florida, where the two currently reside.

"I believe this is the best course of action for both of us after much prayer. I'm hoping for the best for him "She went on. We appreciate everyone's support and consideration of our privacy at this trying time.

Dash has had four marriages. Producer Brian Lovell, British executive James Maby, and actor Emmanuel Xuereb are a few of her ex-husbands.
