Nigerian gospel music singer, songwriter, and worship leader Osinachi Kalu Okoro Egbu, also known as Sinach, is multiple award-winning member of Loveworld, also known as Christ Embassy. Joseph Egbu and Sinach were wed in the church she attends, Christ Embassy. Five years after her marriage, on November 17, 2019, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome announced Sinach's first child's birth at the LIMA Awards. She is the first solo artist to spend 12 weeks at the top of the Billboard Christian Songwriter chart. She became the first Nigerian to win the Award with her song, Way Maker, which received three nominations and took home the Song of the Year honor at the 51st GMA Dove Awards. Way Maker, "I Know Who I Am," "Great Are You Lord," "Rejoice," "He Did It Again," "Precious Jesus," "The Name of Jesus," "This Is My Season," "Awesome God," "For This," "I Stand Amazed," "Simply Devoted," and "Jesus is Alive" are just a few of the gospel hit songs she has released on her nine studio albums. Over 60 Christian artists, including Michael W. Smith, Darlene Zschech, Leeland, Bethel Music, and Mandisa, have performed "Way Maker" in a variety of languages. Way Maker was the song of choice during the first few weeks of the lockdown and Coronavirus pandemic in 2020, as numerous viral videos in hospitals and parks were created with numerous people singing the song. The song became the most-played song in churches across the United States in 2020 after spending several months in the top 100 of the Christian Copyright Licensing International charts. It claimed the top spot in June and held it until December 2020.
