Bandits kidnapped the former deputy governor in Nasarawa state
Some suspected bandits have kidnapped the former Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, Professor Onje Gye-Wado.
The spokesperson of the state police, DSP Ramhan Nansel, confirmed the incident to the media, saying that the incident happened this Friday morning.
He said the former deputy governor was abducted when the bandits broke into his house in Gwagi village in Wamba local government of the state.
The police spokesman said that the cooperation of police and other security officers are there and continued to follow the trail of the assailants with the aim of rescuing the hostage.
