Two women in Israel have been killed, while a month has been seriously injured by gunfire in the occupied West Bank, according to the Israeli army and medical workers.
The women were in a car that crashed after they were shot near the neighborhood of Hamra on the banks of the Jordan River.
The Magen David Adom Emergency Service said the two 20-year-old women died on the spot, while the third, a 45-year-old, was in critical condition.
The army said that its forces have started to hunt down the attackers.
Earlier, the incident was reported as a clash between an Israeli car and a Palestinian car, but when the soldiers arrived there, they saw several bullets in the car belonging to the Israelis.
A helicopter took the injured woman to the hospital for treatment.
The Israeli Police Commissioner, Kobi Shabtai, called on all Israeli citizens who have a license to own firearms to start carrying their weapons.
