More emergency aid needed in eastern Congo - MSF
The international medical organization, Médecins Sans Frontières, said that more emergency aid is needed in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
MSF says about one million people have been forced to flee their homes in North Kivu province in the past year as a result of fierce fighting linked to the M23 rebel group.
The organization said that most of the displaced people are living in dire conditions and its teams are worried about the increasing number of people infected with measles and cholera.
Many East African countries have sent troops to eastern Congo, to see the M23 rebels withdraw.
Congo has accused neighboring Rwanda of supporting the rebel group, which Kigali has denied.
