The kidnapped former deputy governor of Nasarawa has been released
Some suspected kidnappers have released the former deputy governor of Nasarawa state in Nigeria, Onje Gye-Wado, after abducting him on Friday.
The spokesperson of the Nigerian Police Force in the state, Ramhan Nansel confirmed this to the press on Monday.
Nansel said that the former deputy governor spent two days in the hands of the bandits, who released him in the night, on Sunday, after pressure from police officers who wanted to know his whereabouts.
Last Friday some assailants attacked Gye-Wado after breaking into his house in Gwagi village in Nasarawa state.
Later, the security forces said that they went to find out where he was being held, hostage.
