A bag full of military uniforms was seized by Customs.
The Anti-Smuggling Commission in the state of Kaduna was able to catch a bag full of military outfits from the Republic of Niger that were being brought into the country from March to April of this year.
Musa Jalo, the head of the Kaduna branch, confirmed this in a statement he released on Thursday. He said that their officers stopped a Nigerian who was driving a Volkswagen Golf on the road from Jibia to Katsina.
He also said that their officers saw the bag in the car and opened it right away. Inside, they found small shirts, pants, and other parts of military outfits.
He said that their research showed that the car's driver is from Nigeria and was going to give the goods to someone in Katsina state.
He also said that the bag of goods had already been given to the White Goods Security Agency so that the suspect could be investigated further and taken to court.
