After more than 20 people were killed, a curfew was put in place in a part of Plateau state.

After more than 20 people were killed, a curfew was put in place in a part of Plateau state.

In the towns of Fungzai and Kubat in Bwai New District, Mangu Local Government, Plateau State, more than 20 people died.

A person from one of the villages said that the attackers came to Kubat on Tuesday morning and burned down homes.

The bandits also struck the people who were trying to get away with deadly weapons, which killed some and hurt others.

But those who tried to escape in cars and motorbikes ran into the attackers who were coming up behind them. About 20 people, mostly children, and women, were killed in the fight.

Reports say that bodies are still being found in the forest, which makes it hard to know for sure how many people died.

A 24-hour curfew was put in place by the local government to stop people from getting even and making things worse.

Minister Daput, who is the head of the local government in Mangu, said in a statement that the law was made to keep things from getting worse since so many people were hurt in the attack.

DSP Alfred Alabo, a spokesman for the Plateau State Police, confirmed the event and said that security staff had been sent to the area while investigations were still going on.
