Brandi Worley Murdered Her Two Children After Her Husband ASked For a Divorce

Brandi Worley killed her two children, Tyler and Charlee, in the family home on November 17, 2016, one day after her husband Jason Worley asked for a divorce. Jason slept in the basement while Brandi stabbed their kids in the neck over and over and then stabbed herself.

Worley called 911 and said, "I just stabbed myself and killed my two children."  Brandy called her mother and told her to come to the scene. Jason, who was sleeping in the basement, woke up when he heard the children's grandmother screaming. "Now you can't take the kids away from me," Brandi told Jason without showing any feeling.

What Really Happened

The marriage of Jason and Brandi Worley had been rocky for a while. For the sake of their kids, the pair chose not to split up.

In the end, Jason found out that Brandi had been cheating on him with their neighbor, and that was the last blow for him. Jason and Brandi got a divorce after he posted on Reddit about how his wife's cheating broke his heart. Many people on Reddit told him to get a divorce.

The beginning of his Reddit post is red:

"So, to start all over again At work, I had just started a new job and taken on new responsibilities. I was stressed out because I worked a lot of hours (60 or more per week). I noticed that she had put a PIN on her phone in May of 2015.

When I asked her why, she said she was planning my Father's Day gift and didn't want me to spoil the surprise. About a week later, she told me that she felt bad about hiding a big secret from me and that she was having a contractor next door build me a home office as a gift. It seemed strange to me because in the six years, we've been together, she's never said she felt bad about anything, and she always says she has no regrets.

Brandi couldn't stand to think that her husband would leave her. She took Charlee to dance practice in the morning and came home in the evening. When she saw Jason, she told him she needed to buy pipe cleaners. Instead, she went to the store and bought a sharp battle knife.

After Jason and the kids went to sleep, she went home. Brandi ran upstairs and stabbed Charlee and Tyler in the necks, killing both of them. Then she turned the knife on herself, but she didn't have enough strength to kill herself.

Then Brandi called 911 and said something very scary.

Then Brandi called her mother, who came right over to the Worley house. Only when Brandi's mother started screaming did Jason, who was sleeping downstairs, realize that something very bad had happened. Brandi told Jason in a cool voice, "You can't take the kids away from me."

Officials and first responders ran to the scene and found the two dead children. The bodies were found wrapped in blankets in Charlee's bedroom, next to a bloody battle knife. Brandi was sitting quietly in the living room with a cut on her neck from a knife.

Brandi told the emergency workers that she wanted to die with her kids by her side. She was taken to a hospital nearby, where she finally got better and was sent home.

THE COMMUNITY'S RESPONSE TO THE KILLINGS OF CHARLEE AND TYLER WORLEY

After his wife Brandi Worley killed their children in a brutal way, the town of Darlington came together to help Jason and his family. The funeral was held at the Darlington Community Center. To help pay for it, the community raised $50,000 on a GoFundMe page.

The Green-lawn Cemetery in Darlington is where Tyler and Charlee Worley was laid to rest.

BRANDI WORLEY'S SENTENCING

Brandi Worley was charged with two counts of murder after she was taken from the hospital and taken to the Montgomery County Prison. Brandi first pleaded not guilty to murder charges because she wanted to use insanity as a defense. She was told to get her mind checked out and come back the next year for a competency review.

Before she went to court, Brandi changed her mind and chose to plead guilty to the killings. She was given the chance to say something during her sentence, but she chose not to.

Brandi Worley hasn't shown any remorse for killing her kids. Since she was told she was depressed, she hasn't shown any feelings.

Brandi Worley got a sentence of 120 years in jail from Judge Harry Siamas. Everyone was trying to figure out why children were being killed for no reason, he said, adding that it was very rare for a mother to kill her own kid. "Sometimes, there's no way to explain it," he said. "Darkness is all over the world... and it gets into our minds and hearts."

After her husband filed for a divorce, Brandi Worley killed her two children and herself with a knife. She got 120 years in jail because she lived.

CHARLEE AND TYLER WORLEY

Tyler and Charlee Worley were born to Jason and Brandi Worley. They were both happy and healthy kids. Tyler went to Sugar Creek Elementary School and was in the first grade. He was a sporty kid who loved to play sports. He liked basketball, soccer, football, and baseball very much.

Charlee went to preschool and loved going to the library for story time and dancing. Like her older brother, she liked sports, especially basketball.

THE NIGHT BRANDI WORLEY KILLED HER KIDS

Jason and Brandi Worley had been having trouble for a while in their marriage. They thought about splitting up, but in the end, they chose to stay together for the sake of their kids.

When Jason found out Brandi was cheating on him, that was the last blow. The day before the killings, Jason asked Brandi for a divorce.

Brandi couldn't handle the idea that her husband would leave her. After taking Charlee to dance practice in the evening, she went home and told Jason she needed to go out and buy pipe cleaners. She went to the store instead and came back with a sharp fighting knife.

When she got back home, Jason and the kids had already gone to bed. Brandi went upstairs and killed Charlee and Tyler by stabbing them in the neck.  She then turned the knife on herself, but she couldn't kill herself too.

Then Brandi called 911 and told them her shocking secret. She said in a cool voice, "I just stabbed myself and killed my two children."

Then Brandi called her mom, who ran to the Worleys' house. Jason, who was sleeping downstairs, didn't know something was very wrong until Brandi's mother started screaming. Then Brandi said to Jason in a quiet voice, "Now you can't take the kids away from me."

Police and emergency workers ran to the scene and found the two children dead. The bodies were found in Charlee's bedroom. They were wrapped in blankets, and the bloody battle knife was nearby. Brandi was quietly sitting in the living room, bleeding from a cut on her neck that had been made by a knife.

Brandi told the emergency workers that she wanted to die with her kids. She was taken to a nearby hospital right away, and she finally got better.
