BRANDI WORLEY KILLED HER TWO CHILDREN AND THEN STABBED HERSELF

Brandi Worley of Indiana stabbed herself and her two children when her husband filed for divorce. She was saved and sentenced to 120 years in prison.

CHARLEE WORLEY AND TYLER WORLEY

Jason and Brandi Worley had two healthy children, Tyler and Charlee Worley. Tyler attended Sugar Creek Elementary School and was in first grade. He was an athletic child who enjoyed sports. He loved basketball, soccer, football, and baseball.

Charlee was in preschool and enjoyed going to the library for story time and dance. She, like her older brother, enjoyed sports, particularly basketball.

BRANDI WORLEY KILLED HER CHILDREN THAT NIGHT

Jason and Brandi Worley's marriage had been strained for some time. They discussed divorce but finally decided to stay together for the sake of their children.

Jason eventually found Brandi was having an affair, which was the final straw. Jason filed for divorce from Brandi the day before the killings.

Brandi couldn't bear the notion of her husband abandoning her. After dropping Charlee off at dance practice in the evening, she returned home and informed Jason that she needed to go out and buy pipe cleaners. Instead, she went shopping and returned with a razor-sharp fighting knife.

She arrived home after Jason and the kids had gone to bed. Brandi walked upstairs and fatally stabbed Charlee and Tyler in the neck.  She then turned the knife on herself, but she lacked the strength to murder herself as well.

Brandi then dialed 911 to make her terrifying confession. She stated calmly, "I just stabbed myself and killed my two children."

Brandi then called her mother, who went straight to the Worleys' house. Only Brandi's mother's screams informed Jason, who was sleeping below, that something was really wrong. 'Now you can't take the kids away from me,' Brandi stated gently to Jason.

Police and paramedics hurried to the area and discovered the two children's lifeless bodies. The victims were discovered in Charlee's bedroom, wrapped in blankets, with the bloody fighting knife nearby. Brandi sat calmly in the living room, a stab wound on her neck bleeding.

Brandi informed paramedics that she wished to die with her children. She was transported to a nearby hospital and finally recovered completely.

COMMUNITY REACTION TO CHARLEE AND TYLER WORLEY'S MURDERS.

Darlington came together to support Jason and his family after his wife, Brandi Worley, viciously murdered his children. The funeral was conducted in the Darlington Community Center, and the community contributed $50,000 for funeral expenses through a GoFundMe campaign. Tyler and Charlee Worley was laid to rest in Darlington's Green-lawn Cemetery.

BRANDI WORLEY'S SENTENCING

After Brandi Worley got out of the hospital, she was charged with two serious counts of murder and taken to Montgomery County Jail. Brandi first pleaded not guilty to the murder charge because she thought she could use a defense of insanity. She was told to get a psychiatric evaluation and come back the next year for a competency review.

Before the hearing, Brandi changed her mind about the killings and decided to plead guilty. At her sentence, she was given the chance to say something, but she didn't.

Brandi Worley hasn't shown any regret for killing her own kids. Since then, she has been labeled with depression and still doesn't feel anything.

Brandi Worley was given a sentence of 120 years in jail by Judge Harry Siamas. He said that everyone was trying to figure out why the kids were killed for no reason and that it was very strange for a mother to kill her own child. He said, "Sometimes, there's no way to explain it." "There is darkness in this world... And it gets into our heads and hearts."
