The father who has been sexually assaulting his daughter for three years in Kogi state should be arrested
In Kogi State, the Sibul Defense NSCDC caught a 41-year-old father who was sexually abusing his pregnant daughter.
Ahmed Gandi, the head of the agency, said this when he introduced the man to the media at the agency's headquarters in Lokoja. He said that the man was arrested on May 5 after a non-governmental group filed a complaint with the agency.
Gandi said that the investigation showed that the guy started sexually abusing his 16-year-old daughter in the years 2020 to 2023.
"The girl's sister told her children that if they wanted to get away from their father, they should either kill themselves or kill their father.
The girl then told the media that her father had started having affairs after his mother separated from his father.
"My father got me pregnant. When he was sure, he took me to a hospital to have the baby taken out and then continued to molest me.
"My sister told me to run away, but I couldn't because I knew that if I ran away, he would go back to my sister."
She said she was tired of filing complaints against the "Islamic Center for Communication and Creative Thought (ItripleCT)," which was her father's non-government group.
When he was in the hands of the police, the girl's father admitted that he had done what he was accused of, but he asked for forgiveness, saying that the devil had tricked him.
