Faheem Rasheed Najm, who is better known as T-Pain, was born on September 30, 1985, in Tallahassee, Florida. His stage name is a shortened version of "Tallahassee Pain," which he picked because he had a hard time growing up there. He grew up in a Muslim home, but he doesn't believe in any religion. At the age of three, a family friend who was a gospel jazz artist and director let him hang out at his recording studio. This was his first taste of the music business. When he was 10, he used a keyboard, a beat machine, and a four-track recorder to turn his room into a music lab.  In 2004, he became a member of the rap group Nappy Headz. Akon got him to join Konvict Muzik.

Career: In 2005, T-Pain released his first record, "Rappa Ternt Sanga." The record was given a gold rating and peaked at number 33 on the Billboard 200. In 2007, he put out an album called "Epiphany," which went to #1 on the Billboard 200 and US R&B lists. In 2008, T-Pain's record "Three Ringz" hit #1 on the US R&B chart and #4 on the US Billboard 200 chart. In 2011, he put out the album Revolver, which went to #7 on the US R&B list.

"T-Wayne," the song he made with Lil Wayne, came out on May 18, 2017. "T-Wayne" has eight songs from 2009 that are called "lost demos."  In 2017, his record "Oblivion" came out. With Kanye West and Jamie Foxx, he has won two Grammy Awards.

He began Nappy Boy Entertainment in 2005. Auto-tune is a big part of his sound.  His most famous singles are "I'm Sprung," "I'm 'n Luv (Wit a Stripper)," "Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin')," which made #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and US R&B charts, and "Bartender."

T-Pain has collaborated with several other artists including E-40, Birdman, Rick Ross, Bow Wow, R. Personal Life


In 2003, he married Amber Najm. There are three of them.

On March 27, 2009, T-Pain was in a golf cart crash. He was supposed to make a video for Lil' Kim's song "Download." Because of the crash, T-Pain lost four teeth and got cuts and bruises. Two days after his accident, he was back on stage giving a show.
On August 30, 2016, T-Pain's niece Javona Glover was stabbed to death in a Tallahassee, Florida Walgreens.
He plays games a lot and streams them often on Twitch.

In 2019, T-Pain lost a house in Palm Beach County, Florida, because the bank took it back. Deutsche Bank claimed that T-Pain hadn't paid his mortgage since July 2016. Deutsche said that he owed $83,061.86 plus interest on the note. In 2007, he took out a loan for $85,800 to buy the house.

In 2007, T-Pain bought a home for $1.32 million in the gated neighborhood of Winfield on the River in Duluth, Georgia.
