We Will Not Allow Pick And Put to Be the President of the Parliament -Kawu Sumaila
Sen.-elect Sulaiman Abdulrahman Kawu Sumaila, who will represent the Kano South zone in the Senate, has said that members of the federal parliament will not agree to any program that the ruling APC party plans to use to find leaders for them in the parliament. not.
Uncle Sumaila, who was a member of the House of Assembly for the opposition party NNPP, told the press in Abuja about this.
He said that they had seen the ruling party say that it had chosen a zone to give her the leadership of the House of Assembly for the tenth time. He said that this was the first time they had seen something like this in a democracy, but since they have the blood of this House, they would never let this happen.
The senator added that they must say "no" to this issue so that history doesn't repeat itself, and they will be strong to make sure this doesn't happen, if God is willing to accept.
He said, "This event shows that we have gone back to a military-repression regime, but if we learn how to govern in a democratic way, we have three branches: the executive, the parliament, and the courts." Sharia's son, who eats every single hair on his head.
But if such a thing needs to be said, everyone should do it in their own part. The executive part shouldn't get involved in the political part, or else one part gets in the way of the other.
"The smart thing to do to any president with full power is to make a place where the president's feet will be crushed when he stands up, but if he is the president of the country, he will name him. If there is no hall of leaders, then the needs that need to be met won't be met.
"Then we all came with different needs. If you look at what's going on in Nigeria, you can see that people need to change the structure of the country or look at the state of the whole system of government to reform it or make it so that each state has its own money. The easiest thing for people who come with this kind of thinking is to let them live under one roof, because Nigerians will be more accepting of them.
Uncle Sumaila went on to say that the APC is not Nigeria for two reasons. The first is that the APC has only 59 out of 109 members of parliament in the 10th parliament, while the other alternative parties have 55 percent.
"In the same way, the APC doesn't have a majority in one house of parliament because the opposition has more seats.
The second thing is that at least 90 million people in this country signed up to vote, and 80 million people got their voting cards. However, only 23 million people actually went to the polls and voted. Only 8 million of the 23 million votes went to the APC. The rest of the votes went to other groups.
"This shows that Nigerians no longer trust politicians and how they act because they see that everyone is the same as yesterday when they come back, and now is the time for them to change." and always, because the person who became president through the APC is someone who fought for democracy in this country.
"Also, the recently elected president of the country is someone who taught us to be different and to say "no" until it became a part of us, so that when someone says "no" to us, we say "yes" to them. so that he can teach us about ki.
"Right now, no one is talking about fighting or violence," he said. "But on the day of the election of the presidents of the parliament, they will only go into the halls and vote for the person they want, because everyone is eligible according to the constitution of this country and the laws of the parliament."
In the end, the senator said that they will choose whoever they want. Everyone, not just the opposition, knows the truth, but they have guaranteed that new leaders will be chosen, and they will be from the APC party. Rule.
