David Ifeanyi, the 3-year-old son of singer Davido, drowned in a swimming pool.
Lagos police are asking members of the family's staff about the death of David Ifeanyi Adedeji Adeleke Jr., who was 3 years old and the son of Nigerian singer Davido.
Davido, a Nigerian singer, is sad because his son, David Ifeanyi Adedeji Adeleke Jr., died.
NBC News says that the 3-year-old boy died at their home in Lagos, Nigeria, on October 31, just two weeks after his birthday. It looks like he drowned.
In an email, Benjamin Hundeyin, a spokesman for the Lagos police, said that neither Davido nor the child's mother, Chioma Rowland, were there when the event happened.
He did say that eight people who worked for the family were taken in for questioning, but that six of them have since been let go. The child's nanny and another person who hasn't been named are still being questioned, and according to Hundeyin's comment, the investigation is still going on to "find out if it was really drowning or something else."
Davido, whose hits include "Fall" and "Blow My Mind" with Chris Brown, and Rowland haven't spoken out about their son's death, but they have gotten a lot of support.
"Death leaves a pain in the heart that can't be fixed with words, and I'm sorry for David and Chioma's loss of their son. Ifeanyi was liked, and his smile made everyone happy, tweeted Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on November 1. "I'm thinking about you and praying for you, and I hope God gives you strength."
Rapper Bia, on the other hand, wrote, "Sending my love and thoughts to Davido and Chioma. God, please give them strength right now."
Meek Mill also said, "Prayers go out to Davido and his family." praying for y'all!" Nigerian soccer player Victor Moses wrote on Twitter on November 2, "My love, strength, and prayers go out to @davido."
