Erdogan hopes to make a breakthrough in Turkey
After Turkey's presidential and parliamentary elections, the first votes counted show that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is ahead.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has been in charge of Turkey for many years as both prime minister and president, got more than 52 percent of the votes. But Kemal Kilicdaroglu, who has been President Erdogan's main opponent for years, got more than 41% of the votes counted, according to Anadolu. Kilicdaroglu rejected the results and said he was in the lead. If after counting the votes, no candidate gets 50% of the votes cast, the second round of the election will be place on May 28.
