In Southern Kaduna, more than 500 people have died in the past six years.

According to Mr. Samuel Achi, chairman of the Atyap Community Development Association in Kaduna State, from 2017 to the present, 518 people have died, hundreds have fled, 20 communities in Southern Kaduna have been demolished, and 18 more have been set on fire.

At a press conference held today in Samaru Kataf, the president made this statement. He claimed that the current attacks are comparable to those that were committed in 2019 and that some miscreants are carrying them out and should be dealt with by the security agencies.

According to Mr. Achi, who was reported in the Punch newspaper, "calling on our people to protect themselves from all attacks," has been attained.

Mr. Achi expressed dissatisfaction at the claims that the military is involved, claiming that the soldiers stationed there to maintain security are doing little to help.
