 Labor unions have protested over the cost of living in Morocco

For Workers' Day, several Moroccan unions gathered in Rabat to demonstrate against the high cost of living.

Prices for consumer items have increased as a result of rising prices in Morocco.

The nonviolent demonstration in the capital's center drew hundreds of union members.

Some of the songs the demonstrators yelled demanded the removal of the government, while others expressed their outrage at the exorbitant cost of products.

Several protesters demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch.
