Jason David Frank was born in Covina, California, on September 4, 1973. He went to high school in La Verne, California, at Bonita High School. He was very interested in karate and other kinds of fighting and martial arts when he was young. Not long after he graduated, he became interested in playing.

Career
Frank was cast as Tommy Green in the 1993 TV show "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers." He was chosen for the job in part because he knew how to fight. He was supposed to play the Green Ranger for only 14 shows, but he kept doing it for a long time. But the character was so famous that he was brought back as the new leader of the Power Rangers, the White Ranger. Before he came back to the show, he was meant to be the main character in "VR Troopers," but once Frank became the White Ranger, the role went to Brad Hawkins.
After three seasons of "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers," the show changed to "Power Rangers Zeo." Frank's character became the Red Zeo Ranger after the change.
