Lagos has released the names and pictures of the state's rapists.
The names of three individuals found guilty of rape in Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, have been made public by the state administration.
The three men's names were revealed on the state's Twitter page by the anti-violence crime commission.
The agency released the individuals' names, images, descriptions of the crimes they committed, and the sentences the courts handed down.
Idowu Daniel, one of them, was found guilty of sexual assault and received a seven-year prison term from the judge.
The second defendant, Moses Olawale, was convicted guilty of sexually abusing a young child and received a 37-year prison term.
Then there is Akin Isaac, who was convicted of rape and given a 21-year prison term.
The state's anti-violent crime commission further urged the populace to hold those responsible for such acts accountable in court.
The commission urged people to keep fighting for justice for themselves and those whose lives had been wasted in the courts.
The agency stated in May 2022 that it would begin posting the names and images of abusers on its pages.
