Laylah Ali Othman and Ziya'atal Haqq on their interview with BBC

Laylah Ali Othman and Ziya'atal Haqq in their interview with BBC

I recommend all fathers and women with children to watch this interview.  There is a lot of wisdom in it.  I listened to the interview from beginning to end.

I thank the two women for each of them telling us the truth about her behavior, the condition of her marriage, and important advice for parents, married women, and daughters.

I was surprised how Layla was being made to say that she asked her two marriages to end on the grounds that the situation would not lead her to a new God in marriage if she starts to rebel because she knows her personality.

For this reason, she advises married women not to think of divorce without purifying their hearts and that they will do it between themselves and God for any desire of something or

no one outside.  And they should be sure that they can protect their honor and fear God.  And let them know that divorce is not good for them because it comes with difficult challenges.  Therefore, they should study and confirm their decision before they want to separate from their husbands.

Layla gave good advice about the obligation of parents to teach their daughters to ask when they are young, to give them capital if they have it, or at least to support them.  Of course, this is what we knew in the North when we were children.  Almost every girl supported her mother's business at home before her marriage, she knows the market.  Therefore, when she is married, you will see Sana'a in her husband's house.  Even we men use our tongues to married women to sell nuts, kerosene, omo, etc.  Education and the rise of wealth in the North have brought modern families who see how they can grow up in comfort when the father or husband takes responsibility for everything.  If marriage ends, things will be impossible and it will be a pity.

What Ziya-atal-have said about the importance of being a saint and consulting parents about problems even if they say to continue to be patient is very good.  Saints from famous people are useless since the daughter does not know them and will not reach out to them if there is a problem.

Honestly, I didn't see anything hateful in this interview, contrary to the slander that is being made about Layla.  I knew these problems very well 40 years ago.  I am sure that many of her abusers will understand what she is saying when they get older and get married.  With another marriage, it is better to separate the husband and the wife and their families.

Marriage is not a chain for women, nor is it a chain for men.  That is the taste of Islam.  The marriage should be prohibited if that is the case.  But given the option of divorce, even though divorce is not a joke, he must take it or his absence will lead to newness in the marriage or harm.

When I see Layla talking about the truth, she opens up completely and mentions her weak point that if she puts things first, she doesn't want to be beaten.  I think she said it from the point of view of weakness and not pride.  And there are so many of us men.  Especially those named Ali.🤣.  Moreover, she was called Layla.  Boy, do you know the name Layla in Arabic literature?  🤣🤣🤣

For God's sake (I didn't say Hausas, yes, 🤣, Ziya'atal-haq also understood the new way of speaking, now Yanarewa is said to stop rubbing the Hausas with chicken bones) let's use our brains and brains to understand what is being said.  someone did it;  we always take the most beautiful understanding because this is good faith, instead of insulting.  I was surprised by someone I respect yesterday who said to Layla that he did it "for your father".  Oh, my teacher!  Don't insults and insults bother you all the time?
