Police have surrounded the house of the former President of Zambia in Lusaka
In Lusaka, the country's capital, the Zambian police have surrounded Edgar Lungu's former residence and have sought permission to search it.
According to Mr. Lungu's attorney, Jonas Zimba, authorities are looking into three cars that the former president's wife is thought to own.
He claimed that a complaint regarding Esther Lungu, the previous president, and the ownership of the automobiles prompted the investigation.
The police have not yet released a comment regarding the event.
The Patriotic Front (PF), the previous ruling party, claimed that Mr. Lungu's legal protection was infringed by the security forces' deployment.
