Tinubu traveled to Rivers for two days.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the next president of Nigeria, has arrived in Patakwal, the state capital of Rivers, for a two-day visit.

Tinubu traveled to the region to officially launch a few initiatives headed up by Nyesom Wike, the state's governor.

The President-elect will begin work on a number of initiatives, including the construction of a bridge and a courthouse.

The president-elect was greeted by Mr. Wike and members of his government as he arrived at the airport in the port city.

To congratulate the new president, hundreds of Tinubu and Wike supporters came.

In order to allow the people to welcome the president-elect, Governor Wike has already proclaimed the day of the visit as a holiday for workers throughout the state.
