Scott Adams was born in Windham, New York, on June 8, 1957. He is half-German and the son of Paul and Virginia Adams. At age 6, he started making comics after seeing the Peanuts comics. He won his first drawing contest when he was 11 years old. Adam was the top student in his graduating class of 39 at Windham-Ashland-Jewett Central School in 1975.
