Some bandit attacks have killed many people in Plateau State
Authorities said that there are now more security troops in the area.
Bandits attacked some towns in Plateau State on Sunday and killed 135 people, according to reports.
At least four towns in Kanam Local Government were attacked by people on motorbikes. They kept shooting people, setting houses on fire, and stealing cattle.
There is still not a lot of information about the attacks from the officials in the state.
But a traditional leader in the area told the press that 54 bodies have already been found in Kukawa village and 34 bodies in Gyambau village.
Data show that children and young people are among those who are killed.
Because of the attack, hundreds of people had to leave their homes and many people are still missing.
People who lived in the area said that it took almost a day for the police and military to come to their aid.
They also said that these killings are the worst that has ever happened in the area.
The government said that there are now more security troops in the area.
