The Gun Violence Archive, a group that collects data on gun deaths in the United States, says that 14,600 people will be killed by guns in 2023.
By May 6, the fire was opened on people 199 times. 521 children under the age of ten were killed, while 93 minors were killed.
The group said that arson is at the forefront of such attacks.
The report was released in the wake of a gun attack at a supermarket in the state of Texas on May 6, which resulted in the death of at least eight people.
