The King of Karaye gave Kwankwaso's younger brother Sarauta again
His Majesty the Emir of Karaye Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar II gave Alhaji Umar Musa Kwankwaso the title of the Treasurer of Karaye Kingdom.
Umar Musa Kwankwaso is the brother of the leader of the NNPP, Senator Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso.

The late Emir of Kano Alhaji Dr. Ado Bayero first appointed Umar's father, the late Alhaji Musa Saleh Kwankwaso, as the Chief of Kano and Chief of Madobi, and later became the Chief of Madobi, and one of the appointees of the King in the Kingdom of Karaye, and the Chairman of the Committee of Elders of the Kingdom. His Highness the Emir of Karaye Alhaji Dr Ibrahim Abubakar II appointed him.
Alhaji Umaru Musa Kwankwaso and eleven other people will be appointed as the New Treasurer of Karaye on two days on 19 and 26 May 2023.
