The labour minister of Uganda passed away.
Charles Okello Engola, a retired colonel who served as Uganda's minister of labour, was fatally murdered on Tuesday morning at his Kampala home.
Ronald Otim, the minister's assistant, suffered critical injuries and was taken urgently to Mulago Hospital for treatment.
Engola was reportedly shot by one of the minister's supporters in his Kyanja home, who is thought to have fired multiple times before killing him.
According to the police spokesman, Fred Enanga, who talked to media in Kampala, the suspect left the scene and went to a business centre in Kyanja, where he entered a hair salon and shot himself to death.
