After the Taiwanese health department announced that it had found two chemicals of ethylene oxide in two types of indomie pasta, concerns about the quality of indomie pasta first surfaced.

The ethylene oxide in Indomie pasta, according to authorities, is of inferior quality.
"The health department in Taipei City, Taiwan, would like to inform everyone that indomie contains ethylene oxide, a chemical known to cause cancer.
As a result, the Malaysian Ministry of Health said that testing on 36 indomie noodles from various manufacturers was done starting in 2022 and that 11 items were discovered to contain ethylene oxide.
Malaysia has asserted that it has not used coercive tactics and that the impacted animals have not approached it.
The traders are required by the two nations to remove the Indomie pasta from their stores right away.
