The thieves made the mistake of stealing a pair of shoes from a store

Some thugs in Peru were unlucky when they went to rob a shoe store.

More than 200 pairs of shoes were taken by the three robbers who stormed into the store in Huancayo's city center, but they were all right-footed shoes.

Even though the thieves might suffer before they can sell the shoes, the business owner calculated that the total amount of stolen shoes is worth more than $13,000 USD.

Security cameras captured the criminals' methods of operation.

The images depict how the thieves entered the store in the middle of the night and transported boxes and shoes using a three-wheeled motorbike.

According to Eduan Daiz, the head of the local police, "We gathered evidence at the scene, the unusual thing about this robbery is that only the shoes of the right foot were stolen."

"We have the people's fingerprints and photos, so we can identify them."
