Anambra State Governor Denies That He Will Withhold The Salary Of Workers Who Are Not Coming To Work
Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has refuted claims that he threatened to lower the pay of employees who skipped work on Monday in protest of IPOB's stay-at-home order.
If we don't forget that during the Labor Day celebration the previous year, the governor threatened to reduce the salary of the employees who did not report to work on Monday.
The state government, however, disputed the governor's threat to lower the salary of the employees who are skipping work on Monday after 24 hours had passed since the governor's remark.
The workers were not in danger, according to a statement from the governor's principal press secretary, Mister Chris Aburime; the governor had just encouraged them to stop staying in on Monday.
