Senator Rabi'u Kwankwaso, the NNPP party's presidential candidate in the 2023 French elections, met with President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Prior to the start of the 10th National Assembly on June 13, the two leaders allegedly spoke about matters pertaining to the election of parliament leaders during their Monday meeting in Paris.

According to jakadiyar arewa Tinubu departed Nigeria on May 10 for Europe.

The president-elect reportedly informed Kwankwaso that he had spoken with his political allies about the importance of cooperating.

According to rumors, the aspirant president and his guest decided to schedule additional meetings.

The meeting was attended by Femi Gbajabiamila, the departing Speaker of the House of Representatives, as well as Tinubu's wife and Kwankwaso's spouse, Abdulmimin Jibrin Kofa, the elected member of the NNPP House of Representatives.

"The president-elect and Senator Kwankwaso met on Monday in Paris for more than four hours. At around 12:30 in the afternoon, the meeting began, and it finished at around 4:45 in the evening. The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honorable Femi Gbajabiamila, was present during the meeting.

Kwankwaso was joined by Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin, a Kano-based elected representative, the newspaper stated.

"Senator Oluremi Tinubu attended the meeting as well, and she welcomed Hajiya Salamatu, Kwankwaso's wife, who traveled with her husband. The conversation mainly focused on the long friendship they have shared since their time in the National Assembly in 1992, national unity and development, the priorities of the new government, the rivalry among National Assembly members, and the president-elect's previous plan to form a national unity government.

According to the source, Tinubu also addressed the reconciliation between Senator Kwankwaso and Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.

In 2015, Ganduje succeeded Kwankwso, but the two politicians had a falling out.
