We spend One Million Naira on every generation in prison every year ~ Federal Government
The federal government said that every year, it spends a total of one million nairas on any person incarcerated in correctional facilities across the country to take care of them.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Media Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Sola Fasure, in Abuja.
The minister said this when he was inaugurating a center for the treatment of people infected with Coronavirus with 20 nursing rooms which were built in Fatakwal city.
The minister said that the hospital will be a symbol of the importance that the Federal Government has given to the sector of rehabilitation homes with the aim of improving their lives and the workers who care for them.
Aregbesola added that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari has been successful in dealing with the spread of diseases among criminals incarcerated in correctional facilities across the country.
