P15 people died in a car accident in Canada
Officials in the Canadian province of Manitoba say at least 15 people died Thursday when a truck crashed into a van full of mostly older people going to a casino.
Rob Hill, who works for the National Police Force in the Canadian state of Manitoba as the deputy commissioner, said that there were about 25 people in the car.
Officials said that ten people were taken to the hospital.
The drivers of both cars were hurt in the accident, but the Associated Press said that they are now in the hospital.
"The accident in the town of Carberry in the province of Manitoba is very upsetting," said Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on his Twitter page.
He also said, "Today, I send my condolences to the families of those who died and to those who were hurt." I can't even begin to understand how painful it must be for those who have been hurt, but the people of Canada stand with you."
