The Authorities Arrested An Islamic Teacher Because Of His Accusation Of Marrying 78 Women
The government of the Republic of Niger has arrested Gausu Al-Mustapha, an Islamic teacher, because he is accused of doing some very bad things, such as marrying ten women.
Sheik Al-Moustapha Aboubacar, who lives in the village of Tudun Fela in the district of Long Doutsi island, is a well-known Islamic teacher with a big following. Last week, when he was brought before the judge, the news of his arrest came out. Even though he spent at least two months in the Gendarmerie office, he was not able to handle acts related to terrorism.
The teacher who is married to 78 women is being charged with crimes against religion and breaking foreign laws.
Ousman Tahirou, who used to be one of this teacher's students, said that the people started to fight their leader's orders when they got tired of what he was doing and the news got to the authorities.
The people who followed Gausu Almustapha and his family were not able to be reached.
After teaching religion, the teacher who calls himself Mahadi works in agriculture. His students and followers work hard to grow foods that he uses to feed them.
So far, his trial hasn't happened, so we don't know what will happen to him.
