According to the National Hajj Committee, over 75 pregnant pilgrims were admitted for emergency care to various hospitals in Makkah and Madinah.
Usman Galadima, the chief of the medical staff for the National Hajj Committee, claimed that some pregnant women disregarded their advice to stay away from the Hajj despite their repeated requests.
He added that the medical staff is addressing issues that affect men, like diabetes and high blood pressure.
He also mentioned how more pilgrims are becoming ill and are being treated at the Sha Ka Tafi Hospital of the National Hajj Committee in Saudi Arabia.
