A baby girl died after being hit by a car in a hospital

Four days after being hit by a car, an eight-month-old baby girl passed away at a hospital.

After being struck by a pedestrian on Wednesday, Mabli Cariad Hall was evacuated from Withybush Hospital in Pembrokeshire to Cardiff.

The driver of the BMW that was involved in the collision was hospitalised with minor injuries.

A family acquaintance described Mabli as "beautiful, smiling, and happy" in a tribute.

She was rushed to Bristol Royal Children's Hospital, but on Sunday, she passed away from her injuries.

The other pedestrian who was injured in the collision as well as the passenger in the BMW have already been discharged from the hospital.

It is with great sadness that I must announce that Mabli has sustained a "serious and unbearable injury," wrote family friend Sinéad Morris on social media.

Despite her long battle, Mabli passed away quietly early on June 25, 2023, while being held by Gwen and Rob.

The family would like to "express their sincere gratitude to the medical professionals involved in Mabli's care," Ms. Morris continued.

For the family of Mabil, a charity has raised £20,000.
