Benui workers are celebrating their first salary in seven months

After getting their first month's pay from the state government, employees in Benue are overjoyed.

According to the Daily Trust, some state employees in Makurdi, the state's capital, claimed that their paychecks finally began to arrive in their accounts on Sunday after an eight-month wait.

The payment of one month's wage to government employees has been confirmed by Terungwa Igbe, Chairman of the Benue State National Union of Trade Unions.

However, in the present scenario, some employee groups, including school teachers and pensioners, claimed that they have not yet received their paychecks.

Most of the instructors who were interviewed said they anticipate receiving their salaries soon.
