A fire in a South African building killed two young children.0
Kabelo Gwamanda, who is in charge of the area, went to the scene of the fire and praised the firemen for their work. He also said that the old Hillbrow buildings did not meet quality and safety standards.
He said, "This is one of the houses that shows how the Johannesburg government is trying to get buildings back from illegal squatters and criminals."
The city's emergency services said it looked like the children died from breathing in smoke, and their burned bodies could not be identified.
The cops are still trying to figure out what started the fire.
