The people who killed 15 people in Plateau are being looked for by security forces..
Authorities in the central Nigerian state of Plateau say that security forces are looking for shooters who attacked two towns and killed at least 15 people.
On Tuesday, the thieves are said to have killed six farmers in the Riyom area and ten farmers in the Mangu area.
The attackers attacked the two towns, killing people and setting many houses on fire.
Mr. Gyan Bere, a spokeswoman for the state governor, told the BBC that soldiers and police have been put together to protect the towns and find the attackers.
He also said that these threats came from the state's old government to the governor.
He said, "The governor is meeting with security leaders and community leaders to find a solution to the current problem and bring peace back to the whole state."
Mr. Bere said that the state government hasn't been able to find out who did the killings.
But the country's media say that these kinds of killings in the state are often caused by revenge attacks between herders and farms.
Since May, nearly 200 people are said to have died in fights between farmers and the enemy.
