Al Ahly won the African Champions Cup for the 11th time

After beating Wydad Casablanca of Morocco in Cairo, Al Ahly of Egypt won the African Champions Cup for the 11th time.

Mohamed Abdelmonem, a defender for Al Ahly, scored the goal that tied the game 1-1 yesterday and helped the team win the prize.

Wydad's Yahia Attiyat got the first goal, but Al Ahly's Abdelmonem put them ahead by two goals in their first game, which ended 3-2.

This season, Ahly scored 27 goals, with 4 of them coming from Abdelmonem. However, they were not able to take the title of African champion from Wydad, who won it last year.

The last two times Al Ahly played Wydad, they lost both times. With this win, they won for the first time in two games.

In the African league, unlike in Europe, the away ball still counts for two points, while the home ball only counts for one point.
