NATO has started one of the biggest Air Force exercises in Germany

The NATO defense group has started the biggest Air Force practice it has ever done in Europe in Germany. The goal is to stop Russia from threatening the security of the continent.

The NATO military exercises are happening at the same time that Ukraine is taking back some of its land in the southeast that Russia took over after a series of attacks by its troops.

Reports say that the drill, which will start on Monday and last for three days, will involve at least 250 planes from the 25 countries in the group and their allies, such as Japan and Sweden, which want to join the group.

More than 10,000 military members will take part in the practice on Monday. They will talk about how to defend against drone attacks and surface-to-air missiles. The goal is to keep NATO member countries' mountains and waterways safe.
