Barista Muhyi: "I will look into Ganduje's Dollar Video."

Barrister Muhuyi Magajin Rimin-Gado, the new head of the Kano State Anti-Corruption Commission, has said he will reopen the probe into former Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje because of the controversial video.

The web version of the Daily Nigerian newspaper showed videos of Ganduje, who was said to be taking money from contractors.

The former governor said the film was a fake and denied the accusations.

Rimin-Gado, who was fired by Ganduje after a disagreement but was brought back by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, said on Trust TV that the investigation was important.

In response to what he had said about the dollar film in a previous interview, Rimin-Gado said, "I meant everything I said when I was in charge. We started an investigation, but because he was the governor at the time, there were some things we couldn't do.

"Every governor, vice governor, or president who is in office has immunity. This limit has been reached. The board will do what needs to be done.

He also talked about many other things and denied that he was used to get rid of Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi as Emir of Kano at the time.

He also spoke up for some of the governor's ideas.
